The Ashmolean Museum Oxford

Drawn from one of the world’s greatest collections of works on paper, ‘Master Drawings’ presents a selection of the Ashmolean’s treasures of Western Art. The exhibition surveys drawings of all types by some of the biggest names in art history- starting with Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael, all the way up to Gwen John, David Hockney and Antony Gormley

Dr Jon Whiteley, Senior Assistant Keeper of Western Art and Curator of the exhibition, says, “Drawings provide a unique insight into artists’ thoughts and working methods. Visitors to this exhibition will have the chance to take in works of the greatest quality, drawn by some of the most famous artists in the history of western art.”
