Paul Gauguin.

Paul Gauguin.

Paul Gauguin.
Where shall your ship finally sail?
A savage, poet, a painter of the tropics,
Did you really drive Van Gogh Mad?
Leaving your wife and kids behind,
to pursue this crazy thing call art,
Was it worth the price?
Does your life have many regrets,
after such a life in the arts?
So many questions can be thrown at this man,
That took girlfriends at the age when they should still be in high school,
O Paul Gauguin what shall we do with thee?
Sentence to prison for your problems with the church,
The booze took its toil on your body,
after the years of living like a savage,
You always talked about the romantic ways of living like a savage,
Its not to romantic any more while you lay in pain and sorrow,
Tried to commit suicide to stop the pain,
but that was a failure,
And to top it off my friend,
there is now whisperings about,
that is was you that cut off Vincent Van Gogh ear.
Paul died the way you would expect from a savage of more than a hundred years ago,
thats right my friends he died of syphilis,
at least it was before he could start his prison sentence he was 54 years old.
Paul Gauguin if only you could tell us a few more words on what you have learned.
